Xuzhou (Chinese: 徐州; pinyin: Xúzhōu),
known as Pengcheng (Chinese: 徐州; pinyin: Péngchéng) inancient times, is the fourth largest prefecture-levelcity in Jiangsu province, People'sRepublic of China. It is known for its convenient location as atransportation hub in northern Jiangsu, as it has expressways and railway linksconnecting directly to the provinces of Henan and Shandong, the neighbouringcity of Lianyungang,as well as the economic hub Shanghai.
